LOOK: Quinn Ewers appears to get haircut, ditch iconic mullet
As Quinn Ewers put together a solid first season with Texas last year, his mullet became his signature look. But it appears the mullet is no more.
Based on a social media post by Xavier Worthy, Ewers has gotten rid of his iconic mullet. It’s quite the twist — one that shocked his teammates.
Worthy captioned his Instagram story with five five shocked emojis.
Ewers is coming off a solid first season with the Longhorns after transferring from Ohio State. Despite going down with an injury against Alabama, Ewers still threw for 2,177 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games for Texas. The former Five Star Plus+ recruit competed with Hudson Card for the starting job last year, but Card entered the transfer portal and headed to Purdue.
That means it’s Ewers’ show again in 2023 — with or without the mullet.
Ewers struggled a bit in the second half of the season, but head coach Steve Sarkisian said he saw some of the good signs he saw earlier in the season despite those struggles.

Debating College Football Playoff selections
“I think one thing that is hard when you’re a young player and you have some instant success is that you think you do have it figured out,” Sarkisian said in December. “There’s a lot that goes into playing quarterback at this level, and whether it’s on the field, off the field, fighting through adversity, persevering through adversity, and I think Quinn has had to do that.”
Ewers has also been a key player in the NIL space since he got to college. He currently has an NIL Valuation of $779K, which puts him at No. 15 in the On3 College Football NIL Rankings.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
