Even Quinn Ewers isn’t safe from parking violations in Austin.

The former Ohio State quarterback and highly-touted transfer made his debut for the Longhorns on Saturday, leading Texas to a 52-10 victory over UL Monroe. During the showdown, Ewers passed for 225 yards and two touchdowns, but that wasn’t enough to keep the tow truck away.

Check out a Tweet from Ewers after his first career win at Texas, presumably as he tried to return to his vehicle following a historic night.

“How’d I get towed during the game (laughing face emoji),” Ewers tweeted.

If it can happen to Ewers, it can happen to anyone at the University of Texas. Still, the quarterback could’ve been given a one-day pass — it was only his first game.

Nevertheless, Quinn Ewers will be finding a different parking spot from now on, unless he can swing an NIL deal with a tow truck company in the next week.

Ewers wasted no time against Louisana-Monroe getting on the scoreboard, throwing his first career touchdown on Saturday. He connected with tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders, who was wide open as he walked into the end zone.

It’s what should be the first of many for the former Five-Star Plus+ prospect. Texas was able to add the extra point, giving them a 14-3 lead in the first quarter.

The touchdown was also a first for Sanders. Also touted as a five-star prospect coming out of high school, the tight end spent most of last season working on special teams. He is now poised to have a breakout season in this offense as the starter.

The Quinn Ewers to Ja’Tavion Sanders is a connection Texas fans around the Lone Star State could get used to.
