Murphy leads the way for the Longhorns 2022 recruiting class, with an NIL valuation of $70,000. That ranks him 18th in the On3 NIL High School Football Rankings. His biggest social media presence is on Instagram, where he has 23,000 followers.
The California native is the No. 13 quarterback in the class according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He chose Texas over offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon and others.
