Rece Davis gets creative trolling Texas on College GameDay
The wildest story of the week in college football was the report that surfaced involving the girlfriend of Texas assistant head coach Jeff Banks, stating her monkey bit a child on Halloween night in Austin. The headline alone is wild, so of course Rece Davis had to work it into ESPN’s College GameDay.
As he discussed the three-game losing streak the Longhorns are in the midst of, Davis referenced the recent controversy.
“One minute, you got a three-touchdown lead on Oklahoma. Next thing you know, a three-game losing streak serves as an AP Pole Assassin. Pet monkeys connected to the staff trying to strip trick-or-treaters down to the bone,” said Davis. “.. Keep Austin weird!”
On Monday night, it was reported that the Longhorns assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks‘ girlfriend’s monkey attacked a young trick-or-treater on Halloween. Moreover, Bank’s girlfriend, Danielle Thomas, reportedly went by the nickname “Pole Assassin.”
Furthermore, local officials in Austin are still investigating this wild revelation. Still, the absurdity of the story has led to a multitude of jokes.

Until the situation is resolved, we’re itching to hear some more. Still, the Longhorns will hope to find a way to be victorious tonight. Texas is taking on the Iowa State Cyclones at 7:30 PM EST on Saturday.
Thomas responds: ‘This is sad that people have to go all out of the way to prove that a person is lying.’
Following the commotion, Thomas responded on Twitter prior to deleting her account. In a tirade, she answered serious questions and showed where the monkey, Gia, lives. An emotional support animal according to Thomas, Gia lives in a caged environment away from where children were allowed to trick-or-treat.
“This is sad that people have to go all out of the way to prove that a person is lying,” Thomas said in a video that has since been deleted, along with her entire Twitter account. “Here is the gate, here is where all the haunted house action happened. And yes, I do clean up fast — the shit’s gone. Here is the gate every child and parent was told to turn around at when they got to. It was closed and blocked off with balloons.
“This is how far the kid went in my backyard without permission, all the way over to where my animals live and watch this. I don’t even play when it gets to my animals, and I know all the legal rules on them. … How could she viciously bite someone if they stick their hand in there, where it don’t belong.”
