Arch Manning, he’s in the game. The backup Texas quarterback is going to be quite highly rated on EA Sports College Football 25 as well despite only playing a few snaps in his college career.

Manning’s rating is reportedly going to be 87 overall. CBS Sports revealed the information via Instagram on Thursday afternoon. For reference, Texas starting QB Quinn Ewers — who is also one of the three cover athletes — came in at a 92 overall, only behind Colorado‘s Shedeur Sanders and Georgia‘s Carson Beck at the position as 93s.

Liberty‘s Kaidon Salter was the last of eight quarterbacks ranked inside the top 100 players, being ranked as a 90 overall. Manning is not too far behind any of them at 87 and is just entering his second season of college football.

EA Sports were originally scheduled to release the game without Manning. He reportedly did not opt in like many other college football players across the country. Focusing on football was Manning’s main goal.

Last year was spent learning behind Ewers and Maalik Murphy. However, the latter of the two transferred to Duke, meaning Manning could slide up a spot on the depth chart. There could easily be some point of the season where Texas needs Manning to take meaningful snaps, something we saw with Murphy this past season due to an Ewers injury.

However, an Instagram post was released with Manning and his uncle, Eli, announcing the current player would be featured. EA Sports is paying Manning between $50-$60,000 to promote the game, in addition to the $600 and copy of it he receives as part of the NIL deal facilitated by OneTeam, On3’s Pete Nakos reported.

Texas fans looking to start a dynasty with the Longhorns should be quite thrilled with the news. Using Ewers for at least one season followed by Manning will be a lot of fun for them. Plugging in at least an 87 overall at quarterback is not too shabby.

Manning has an On3 NIL Valuation of $2.8 million, which ranks No. 3 in the On3 NIL 100 – the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation. By opting in to EA Sports College Football, he’s taking another step into the NIL space after previously announcing a deal with Panini America.
