Small Forward Devon Pryor commits to Texas, reclasses to 2023
Houston (Texas) PSAT Academy three-star small forward Devon Pryor has committed to Texas and will reclassify to the class of 2023, he told On3.
The 6-foot-7, 180-pound prospect formerly apart of the class of 2024 was previously committed to LSU. He also received offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Penn State, TCU, and others.
Pryor currently ranks as the No. 159 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 44 small forward in the class. His ranking will now be re-evaluated now that he is a part of the 2023 class.

Devon Pryor discussed his commitment to Texas with On3.
“The relationship with coach Terry and coach Chappell and the rest of the staff has been the best,” he said. “Plus the communication and support they’ve shown is unmatched. Texas has always been one of those schools that I’ve kept up with through my basketball career. I’ve seen the talent that has gone through and I believe I can be one of those guys and so do they. It’s a winning culture and a phenomenal place to be.”

“I’m a get-out-and-go type of player. I love to play with energy on both ends of the court, and I see my style fitting in just right.”
