Texas catcher Rylan Galvan hits monster walk-off home run to sweep No. 3 Georgia

The Texas Longhorns (26-4 overall) got a clutch home run from catcher Rylan Galvan, as he blasted a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to sweep the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs. Check it out as Galvan shows the freon coursing through his veins in the big moment.
The Longhorns are scorching hot right now on the diamond. 11-1 in SEC play with series wins over Georgia and LSU. Texas won 4-3 on Sunday, after Galvan blasted the solo shot in the bottom of the 10th inning. It was the only hit of the day for Galvan, but he made it count as he finished 1-for-4 at the plate.
Texas now sits at 26-4, putting them among the top teams in the country in college baseball. The Longhorns were trailing 2-1 on Sunday, when Jalin Flores blasted a two-run shot to right center.
That put the ‘Horns up 3-2 in the sixth inning. But the Bulldogs countered, Nolan McCarthy hit a home run to right center. That tied the game up at 3-3 in the seventh inning. That’s when Galvan stepped up to the plate and delivered the heroics in the bottom of the 10th.

In Saturday’s win against Georgia, Texas won 7-4. The Longhorns trailed 4-0 through four innings, but managed to rattle off seven unanswered runs to pull off their 11th comeback victory of the season. Shortstop Jalin Flores drilled a double off the wall, and that tied the score up at 4-4. Will Gasparino delivered a two-run double to finish off the comeback. Texas first baseman Kimble Schuessler tacked on an insurance run for the ‘Horns, knocking home a run with a sacrifice fly.
Longhorns’ pitcher Luke Harrison struck out a career-high nine batters in the first 5 2/3 innings. Harrison allowed four runs–three earned–on six hits. Right hander Max Grubbs (3-0) tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Georgia right hander Kolten Smith (2-1) was charged with a loss.
The Longhorns will look to keep things rolling on Tuesday, April 8th against Houston Christian. That one is slated for 6:30 PM CST.
