Texas DB Kitan Crawford enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

Texas defensive back Kitan Crawford has entered the transfer portal.

Crawford spent four seasons with the Longhorns, making 46 appearances. In the 2023 campaign, the senior DB tallied a 24 tackles, including a career-high 18 solo stops. He also collected a tackle for loss, interception and two passes defended.

In 2023, Crawford was on the field for 263 special teams snaps according to Pro Football Focus split between 49 in kick return, 78 in kick coverage, 63 on punt return, 31 on punt coverage, and 42 on field goal block. He recorded three special teams tackles and had a season-long special teams grade of 71.1.

In his four years with UT, Crawford amassed 61 tackles, two tackles for loss and four passes defended. Crawford’s lone interception in his career was against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship this season.

A member of Texas’ 2020 class, was ranked as the No. 144 overall prospect, the No. 11 cornerback, and the No. 22 prospect in Texas according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
