Finkley has spent the past three seasons with the Longhorns. While on The 40 Acres, Finkley has appeared in 30-plus games where he has had 26 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Most of that came when he was a sophomore last fall where Finkley had 14 tackles, a pair of sacks, and the forced fumble. He then had five tackles over six games as a junior this season.

Finkley, a Trussville, Alabama native, played high school football at Hewitt-Trussville. He was the No. 126 overall player there as a four-star prospect in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-15 edge in the class and the No. 6 player out of the state. That made him the seventh highest-rated signee that year for Texas in a class that finished at No. 5 in On3’s 2022 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
