Texas has earned $14 million in prize money for the SEC after winning its first two College Football Playoff games, according to Front Office Sports. The Longhorns most recently earned a 39-31 victory against Arizona State in double overtime of the Peach Bowl on Wednesday.

Texas won on a stop from its defense, which came away with the game-clinching interception in the second OT. It will now move on to face the winner between Oregon and Ohio State, which are currently facing off in the Rose Bowl.

The Longhorns led 24-8 with 10 minutes remaining in the game Wednesday before the Sun Devils mounted their comeback. It began on a trick play where running back Cam Skattebo completed a 42-yard touchdown pass to Malik McClain.

That seemed to get the momentum rolling in Arizona State’s direction, as it would come away with an interception on the next drive to get the ball back with a chance to tie the game. Skattebo again delivered, this time punching in a two-yard score as the Sun Devils completed the two-point conversion to tie the game at 24.

Texas would go on to have two opportunities to take a lead on a field goal, but missed both to send the game to overtime, where it eventually prevailed.

So far the SEC has earned a total of $26 million between Texas, Tennessee and Georgia, its only three schools to make the College Football Playoff. That total will increase to $32 million if the Bulldogs defeat Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday.

The Longhorns now find themselves among the final four teams for the second straight season, hoping to punch their ticket to the national championship. If they do, they’ll earn an additional $6 million for the conference.

Their next game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT on Jan. 10.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian adds bonus after Longhorns win in College Football Playoff Quarterfinals vs. ASU

In addition to the money the team received for the SEC, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian also got a bonus for the victory against Arizona State. According to According to Steve Berkowitz of USA Today, he added a $250,000 bonus for the win.

That brings his total bonuses for the season to $900,000. Sarkisian is in his fourth season at Texas, having directed the team to a 37-16 record in that span.
