Texas flips 4-star LB Tyanthony Smith from Texas A&M
Jasper (Texas) four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith has flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to Texas.
He was pledged to the Aggies since June 30, but flipped to the Longhorns following an official visit to Austin on Dec. 16.

Smith is the No. 393 overall prospect and No. 37 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Smith is also the No. 62 recruit in Texas.

Multiple schools visited Smith late to try and flip him away from A&M, including LSU and Florida. Texas defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski visited Jasper High School ahead of Smith’s OV to The Forty Acres. Now, he’s set to join the Longhorns’ elite recruiting class.
