Former UTSA EDGE Trey Moore is staying in-state to continue his college football career. Moore has committed to Texas after an incredible season for the Roadrunners, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

As a redshirt sophomore this season, Moore posted 45 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. He is joining a loaded Texas roster that is currently preparing for the College Football Playoff.

Texas is expected to lose some important players from its defense after this season, but Trey Moore should be able to step in and immediately be an impact guy.

In addition to having a strong season in 2023, Moore was also excellent as a redshirt freshman in 2022. He started all 14 games and finished with 59 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 8 sacks, while earning freshman All-American honors.

Trey Moore is ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the portal and the No. 1 EDGE, according to the On3 Industry transfer portal rankings.

Moore, who is a Texas native, was unranked coming out of high school when he signed with UTSA.
