WATCH: Kyle Flood raps in front of Texas Football team
It’s been a long weekend for Texas, meaning the team needed to have some fun to lift some weight off their shoulders. Music is a great way to relieve some stress, especially when a coach gets involved. Offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Kyle Flood performed for the Longhorns, nearly bringing the house down.
It began with defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat, who got the meeting room hyped. Then, Flood took control of the microphone, where players literally jumped out of their seats with excitement. As the assistant coach was signing “Leave the Door Open” by Bruno Mars, he even got some arm movement going back and forth.
To cap it all off, Flood took a bow at the end, signaling he did a job well done. You can watch the full video from Texas Football here.
A nice round of applause followed for Flood, as he put on the performance of a lifetime. While football is the most important thing in Austin, there’s always a little time to enjoy some music. Especially with somebody like Flood signing a Bruno Mars song.

More on Kyle Flood
When head coach Steve Sarkisian made the transition from Alabama to Texas, he brought over a handful of coaches with him. Flood may have been the most important one, as he serves as the Longhorns’ offensive coordinator. However, his main role has been with the offensive line and rebuilding up front.
Flood was able to sign seven players at the position in the 2022 class and already has five in the 2023 cycle. Recruiting has been great for the position coach but now, his goal will be to get results from his unit on the field come Saturdays.
