WATCH: Quinn Ewers, Isaiah Neyor touchdown catch video reveals hilarious sideline victory lap
Quarterback Quinn Ewers sent Texas fans into a frenzy on Saturday night, connecting with Isaiah Neyor on a long touchdown pass during the spring game. Both players transferred into the program this offseason and the Longhorns got to see their talents on full display before heading into summer workouts.
The official Texas Twitter account decided to go behind the scenes on the aftermath of the touchdown, showing Ewers and Neyor taking a mini victory lap. Ewers said “I told him. I literally told him” during the process, meaning the two had talked about connecting on a deep ball earlier in the day.
A sideline angle of the touchdown is shown as well, with Neyor getting under the pass and jogging into the end zone.

Ewers came to Texas via Ohio State, only spending one season with the Buckeyes. The former 2021 On3 Consensus No. 1 overall player only played a few snaps for head coach Ryan Day, just handing the ball off. Saturday was the first time he was able to showcase his talents against college competition.

Since he graduated from high early as well, Ewers had not seen live action since January 2021 in his state championship game with Southlake Carroll.
As for Neyor, he is from the Lone Star State, calling Arlington, TX, his home. After spending three seasons with the Wyoming Cowboys, Neyor decided to hit the transfer portal. Texas was not originally slotted to sign him but head coach Steve Sarkisian was able to get a huge addition to his offense with the wide receiver.
These types of touchdowns are something Longhorn fans could get used to seeing as well. Based on the video, it seems as if Quinn Ewers and Isaiah Neyor have solid chemistry off the field as well.
