Texas Longhorns trending for 3-star DL D'antre Robinson
For most of his recruitment, Orlando (Fla.) Jones three-star defensive lineman D’antre Robinson has been projected to stay in the Sunshine State. Now a new out-of-state favorite has emerged in his recruitment.
Following recent industry updates and four expert predictions, Texas now holds a commanding lead in Robinson’s recruitment. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the Longhorns sit with a 92.6% chance to land his pledge.
Warchant’s Michael Langston, Gators Online’s Keith Niebhur and Inside Texas’ Gerry Hamilton and Eric Nahlin all put in picks for Robinson to choose the Longhorns. Hamilton and Nahlin each put in their picks with a 65% confidence level.
The 6-foot-3.5, 315-pounder visited Austin for the first time in January. He was back on campus June 16 for an official visit.
“What stood out the most was seeing how the defensive line has coaches that know how to coach,” Robinson told On3 in January. “They coached in the NFL so I’m learning from some of the best to do it. And they showed so much love.”
Robinson is the No. 495 overall prospect and No. 42 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 70 player in Florida.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $24K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Longhorns 2024 class starting to come together
A pledge for Robinson would be another win in what’s been win after win for Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns over the last month.
Texas currently has 11 commitments in its 2024 class and nine of those commitments have come since June 17. Their class as a whole ranks No. 16 in the country and No. 8 in the SEC.
So far the highlights of the class have been pledges from seven four-star recruits including four players ranked in the top-200. IMG Academy (Fla.) running back Jerrick Gibson, a former Florida pledge, is the highest-ranked player in the class as the No. 47 player in the country.
Texas’ other four-star pledges are safety Jordon Johnson-Rubell, wide receiver Freddie Dubose Jr., interior offensive lineman Daniel Cruz, cornerback Santana Wilson, running back Christian Clark and wide receiver Parker Livingstone.
