Saturday afternoon, Texas will play in its its first-ever SEC Championship. As the Longhorns put together a run to the title game, multiple athletes joined an NIL partnership through the Texas One Fund.

The UT-focused NIL collective announced an agreement with NIL FanBox, which features multiple current athletes and legendary quarterback Vince Young. Each Longhorn Fanbox includes memorabilia such as autographed posters and trading cards, as well as exclusive player interviews. Pre-orders began last month.

“We wanted to deliver something special for our fans as a way to thank them for their unwavering support and passion,” said Patrick “Wheels” Smith, Texas One Fund president and co-founder, in a statement. “The Longhorn FanBox is about creating more opportunities for our fan community to connect with their favorite athletes on a deeper level and celebrate the spirit of Texas together.”

Terms of the deal were not revealed. Seven current Texas athletes are part of the launch, including football players DeAndre Moore Jr., Anthony Hill and Quintrevion Wisner. Women’s basketball’s Madison Booker, softball’s Reese Atwood, men’s basketball’s Jordan Pope and baseball’s Jalin Flores are also on board.

Each Longhorn FanBox membership includes autographed posters, prints, trading cards and hardwoods, as well as collectibles, a “Golden” scratch-off ticket ticket and a Founders Club card for founding members. There’s also a chance to purchase autographed memorabilia from Young.

“The Longhorn FanBox is much more than just memorabilia, it’s about reconnecting true fans with the players, moments and stories that make College sports great,” said Terry Comer, CEO and Co-Founder of NIL FanBox. “We are proud to work alongside The Texas One Fund to bring Burnt Orange nation fresh and exciting fan experiences every season.”

Texas One Fund continues innovative NIL ventures

Since coming together in November 2022, the Texas One Fund cemented itself as one of the top NIL collectives in the country. On3’s Pete Nakos ranked it at No. 3 in his Top 15 collectives in college sports earlier this year, particularly because of its ability to find new revenue streams.

Texas One Fund has a notable partnership with Nicholas Air as its corporate sponsor and became the first collective to partner with Passes. In addition, the group partnered with Oklahoma-focused 1Oklahoma for a golf outing to raise money for NIL in October. That event raised “in the high six figures,” WME Sports told On3, as Texas got the victory in the Ryder Cup-style matches.

“They’re ready to adapt to whatever,” a source previously told On3. “They feel really comfortable where they’re at and already in conversations about what the House settlement could mean.”
