Texas tight end Juan Davis withdraws from transfer portal after 22 minutes
Texas tight end Juan Davis officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported on Saturday evening. The strange thing was, he didn’t stay in there for very long. His name was withdrawn from the portal after just 22 minutes on Saturday night. It’s certainly a strange occurrence, but certain situations like this have happened over the years. It might have been a mistake or it’s possible the tight end changed his mind very quickly.
Davis played in 27 games during the past three seasons for the ‘Horns. A dynamic athlete in high school, Davis played quarterback and receiver, catching 40 passes for 780 yards and eight touchdowns. As a runner, he also ran for 790 yards and 12 touchdowns on 107 carries.
Davis was a great athlete in track and field, posting a 24-second 200-meter dash and a 43-foot triple jump in his sophomore campaign. In the 2021 cycle, he was rated as the No. 542 overall prospect in the country, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
