Texas trolls Arkansas fans, 'fixes' Horns Down flag after victory
In 2021, Texas lost to Arkansas in Fayetteville in Steve Sarkisian’s first season. The Longhorns made their first trip back on Saturday and came out on top – and the social media team trolled fans who had a “Horns Down” flag.
Texas Football’s x account posted a picture of the flag, but turned it upside down. That, therefore, put the horns up after the Longhorns held on for the 20-10 victory at Razorback Stadium.
“Fixed it for y’all,” the post read, along with a “Hook ‘Em” emoji and an up arrow.
Texas entered Saturday’s game looking to keep pace in a crowded SEC. The Longhorns are one of three teams with one loss in conference play, making the race for the league championship that much more interesting.
In an old Southwest Conference rivalry, some wondered if UT would be on upset alert. But the Longhorns fought off a late charge from Arkansas to seal the win and get their fifth conference victory to sit tied with Tennessee and Texas A&M for first place.

FAU sources respond to Ray Lewis report from ESPN
After Arkansas made it 13-10, Texas took 3:39 to go 75 yards on a drive capped by an impressive touchdown pass from Matthew Golden from Quinn Ewers. Texas used five run plays and three pass plays, including the 1-yard touchdown connection, to regain control. Sarkisian praised that response and said it was the type of drive he expected against a tough Arkansas defense.
“It was just one of those days they were going to make us earn it,” Steve Sarkisian told ABC’s Katie George after the 20-10 victory. “We weren’t going to get many chunk plays, so we had to be really efficient. I thought that was a really efficient drive on the ground, hitting a couple passes. Great catch by Golden for the touchdown.”
Texas’ offense was impressive, led by a balanced attack. Ewers completed 20 of 32 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns while Jaydon Blue led the Longhorns with 83 rushing yards. But the defense was also in control, holding Arkansas to 231 yards – including 149 passing yards from Taylen Green.
