The Virginia TechTexas game in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament was a wild one in the first half, with both teams trading blows. Texas guard Marcus Carr drained a shot from beyond half-court at the buzzer to put Texas up, 34-32 at haltime.

Check out the amazing shot from the logo, beyond half court, an absolute prayer.

Andrew Jones was blistering hot in the first half for the Longhorns, connecting on 5-of-6 three-pointers. 15 of his 17 first half points came from beyond-the-arc. The Longhorns hit 53.8 percent of their three-point attempts in the first half (7-of-13). The leading scorer at the end of the first half for Virginia Tech was Keve Aluma, who pumped in eight points and grabbed four rebounds for the Hokies.

Carr has yet again proven to be one of the best point guards in America during the 2021-2022 college basketball season. He pumped in 15 points, dished out nine assists, and also grabbed two steals in Friday night’s 81-73 win for the Longhorns.

Carr transferred to Texas from Minnesota

Carr played and started all 60 games during his time with Minnesota. The 6-2, 195-pounder averaged 17.4 points per game and 5.8 assists per game for the Golden Gophers. His 5.8 assists per game currently ranks first in Golden Gopher basketball history. The talented point guard also posted a 2.32 assist-to-turnover ratio while at Minnesota.
