WATCH: Texas Five-Star Plus+ QB commit Arch Manning tosses flea-flicker touchdown

New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning is the top player in the 2023 cycle. He showcased his arm talent in his season-opener against Boutte (La.) Hahnville.

Up 21-14 in the third quarter, Newman ran a flea-flicker. Manning ran the play flawlessly and hit his receiver wide open downfield for a touchdown to give Newman a 28-14 lead.

Earlier in the game, Manning found his running back wide open on the sideline for his first touchdown of the season. The score gave Newman a 13-0 lead.

A 6-foot-4, 215 pound signal-caller, Manning is the No. 1 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is rated the same in the 2023 On300.

Only four other players are Five-Star Plus+ prospects alongside Manning. He is the highest-ranked prospect in the Longhorns’ 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 5 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Rankings and No. 1 in the Big 12.

Manning has an On3 NIL Valuation of $3.4M. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
