Arlington (Texas) Mansfield Summit four-star defensive lineman Joseph Adedire has committed to Texas Tech, one day after decommiting from TCU.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Adedire as the No. 361 overall player and No. 43 defensive lineman in the country.

He is one of two four-star commits in the Texas Tech recruiting class along with Broken Arrow (Okla.) four-star athlete Maurion Horn. The class is the No. 50 overall collective in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

The Red Raiders were the heavy favorite for Adedire, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). RPM gave Texas Tech an 87.3% chance of landing him.

RPM was released to the public on Friday. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
