Former USC pledge, 3-star LB Ty Kana commits to Texas Tech
Katy (Texas) High three-star linebacker Ty Kana committed to Texas Tech this weekend.
He is the fourth player to commit to the Red Raiders in the 2022 cycle since Joey McGuire took over as head coach.
Kana was previously committed to USC for eight months before backing down in late October because of the firing of Clay Helton.
“Due to the recent coaching changes at USC and interests from other schools, I am officially re-opening my recruitment,” Kana wrote.
He is one of four Trojans decommits along with three-star running back DeAnthony Gatson, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Domani Jackson and Columbus (Ga.) Hardaway five-star defensive linema Mykel Williams.
