In three seasons with the RedHawks, Virgil played in 36 games. During that time he had 43 receptions for 878 yards and 10 touchdowns. The vast majority of that production came during the 2024 season when Virgil made 41 receptions for 816 yards and nine touchdowns. He also averaged 19.9 yards per reception, making him one of the best deep threats in the country. In his first two college seasons, he spent the majority of his time on special teams.

For the 2024 season, Virgil earned Second-Team All-MAC honors.

The 2024 season was an excellent one for Miami (Ohio). The RedHawks went 8-4 during the regular season, making it to the MAC Championship Game where they would lose to the Ohio Bobcats. They were able to do that despite a difficult non-conference schedule that included three Power Four opponents. They would go on to finish the regular season on a seven-game winning streak. Now, the RedHawks are preparing to play Colorado State in the Arizona Bowl.
