Texas Tech senior center Federiko Federiko plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-11 Federiko joins his brother, South Carolina transfer Okku Federiko, in the portal.

Federiko Federiko led Texas Tech shooting 74.3-percent from the floor, averaging 5.1 points and 4.5 reobunds per game during the 2024-25 season. Federiko Federicko posted a season-high seven offensive rebounds in Tech’s Sweet Sixteen win over Arkansas, and also produced a double-double effort with a career-high 23 points and 12 bounds against Oral Roberts last season. He will have one season of collegiate eligibility after the NCAA granted a blanket waiver to student-athletes that played junior college athletics and ran out of eligibility in the 2024-25 season.

Prior to Texas Tech, Federiko Federiko played two seasons at Pitt, where he averaged 5.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

South Carolina forward Okku Federiko entered NCAA Transfer Portal

South Carolina freshman forward Okku Federiko entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on April 10, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He’ll have four seasons of collegiate availability remaining after redshirting in 2024-25.

Federiko enters the transfer portal less than four months after officially landing on campus and being cleared to join the team on January 24. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward arrived from Helsinki, Finland, where he was prep teammates with former Gamecocks teammate Morris Ugusuk, who also entered the portal recently. Due to his late arrival, Federiko didn’t play in any games for South Carolina during the 2024-25 season.

“I think he’s still getting the final eligibility in terms of being able to participate in games,” Gamecocks head coach Lamont Paris said upon Federiko’s arrival. “But at this point, that’s also very difficult, just being completely transparent.”

Federiko came to South Carolina as a three-star recruit out of DRIVE Basketball Academy in Helsinki, Finland. There, he was the country’s top collegiate prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
