The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder chose Texas Tech over offers from SMU, North Texas, Baylor, Arkansas and a handful others. He is the Red Raiders’ 15th commitment in the 2023 cycle, the highest of any Power Five program in the country. Tech’s class, headlined by a trio of four-star prospects, ranks No. 11 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
As a junior last season, his first playing primarily wide receiver, Chris Palfreeman hauled in 57 passes for 890 yards and four touchdowns. During his sophomore season in 2020, he split time at running back and wideout, totaling more than 1,250 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns.
He is also a standout on the track, with personal best of 10.54 in the 100 meters.
