Clarendon (Texas) three-star recruit Jmaury Davis may be listed as an athlete in the On3 Database, but the description is not exclusive to his football position. Davis a pure athlete.

He may have provided the best example of that Saturday in the Texas 2A state championship game.

Davis had the ball on a fast break with a few minutes left in the game and, instead of going up for a layup or even simple dunk, Davis decided to bring the crowd to its feet.

The 6-foot-2 Davis lifted off and slammed home an absolutely monstrous windmill dunk.

Davis’ slam wasn’t even the most impressive feat in the game. LaMarcus Penigar scored 41 points for Clarendon, which came back from down eight in the third quarter to win the game 65-51.

Jmaury Davis is one of Texas Tech’s many 2023 verbal commits

Jmaury Davis is the No. 494 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
