3-star CB Braeden Marshall commits to UCF
Lake Mary (Fla.) three-star cornerback Braeden Marshall committed to UCF on Saturday night. He chose the Knights over Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Marshall is ranked as the No. 439 overall prospect and No. 44 cornerback in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also rated as the No. 83 player in Florida.
The 5-foot-10, 180 pound defensive back is the ninth member of UCF’s 2023 recruiting class. Prior to Marshall’s announcement, the Knights’ group ranked No. 51 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Marshall is now the fifth top-500 prospect in UCF’s class alongside Walker, Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley four-star linebacker Andrew Harris, Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley four-star linebacker Michael Harris and Apopka (Fla.) three-star EDGE Kaven Call.
Other members of the Knights’ 2023 group include Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School three-star linebacker Troy Ford, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons three-star quarterback Dylan Rizk, Brunswick (Ga.) three-star offensive tackle Jamal Meriweather and Orlando (Fla.) Boone three-star kicker Grant Reddick.

Less than a week ago, Marshall announced that he was deciding between the Tar Heels, Badgers and Cornhuskers. However, the Knights were the program that won out for his commitment.
Marshall has an On3 NIL Valuation of $21K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
