4-star WR Jayvan Boggs flips commitment from Missouri to UCF

Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs is staying home, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.

Boggs announced that he has flipped his commitment from Missouri to UCF. A onetime Ohio State commit, Boggs pledged to the Tigers on the Fourth of July. Now, he will head roughly 40 minutes northwest to Orland to play his college ball.

“Long overdue, I’m staying home!!” Boggs told Fawcett.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound Boggs is the nation’s No. 221 overall prospect, No. 28 wide receiver and No. 34 recruit from Florida in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Boggs is the 20th prospect to commit to Gus Malzahn’s UCF Knights in the 2025 cycle — a class that includes five other blue-chip recruits. Boggs’ fellow four-stars in Orlando are Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central safety Kendarius Reddick, Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola running back Taevion Swint, Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside offensive tackle Chastan Brown, Boynton Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central wide receiver Waden Charles and Palm Beach Central safety Tony Williams.
