Police arrested and charged former Maryland linebacker and UCF transfer Terrence Lewis for domestic battery on Sunday evening, per public records. Authorities booked Lewis into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade (Fla.) County with a $1,500 bond.

After entering the NCAA transfer portal at the end of the season, Lewis committed to UCF and Gus Malzahn following the new year. He did not play during the 2021 season after receiving surgery before Spring practices began. Upon joining Maryland, the medical staff diagnosed him with a torn ACL.

Lewis was a four-star prospect and the No. 43 player in the nation when recruited, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was a standout at Miami Central High School before committing to Maryland over Tennessee, Miami and others.

In the transfer portal, he was the No. 17 linebacker available this offseason, according to On3’s transfer rankings. In the arrest report, Lewis is listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds.

UCF transfer Jaylon Robinson down to two

Former UCF Knights star wide receiver Jaylon Robinson is reportedly down to two options for his third collegiate home after hitting the transfer portal last month. Robinson, who started his career at Oklahoma before transferring to Central Florida, will decide between Ole Miss and Tennessee, according to 247Sports‘ Rusty Mansell.
