Indiana transfer QB Tayven Jackson commits to UCF
Indiana Hoosiers transfer quarterback Tayven Jackson is taking his talents to Orlando, joining the UCF Knights via the NCAA Transfer Portal, he revealed via social media. Jackson spent the past two seasons with the Hoosiers and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Jackson appeared in 13 games over the past two years in Bloomington, starting five as a redshirt freshman in 2023. He ends his career at Indiana with 1,263 yards passing and six touchdowns to six interceptions.
Jackson originally committed to Tennessee as a four-star prospect out of the 2022 class before transferring the Indiana after one year with the Vols. He ranked as the No. 186 overall player and No. 11 quarterback in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jackson’s decision to enter the transfer portal came just one day after the Hoosiers lost in the College Football Playoff against Notre Dame by a score of 27-17. Indiana finished the regular season with an 11-1 record, the most wins in program history. He’ll now look for continued success at UCF.
