UCF EDGE Nyjalik Kelly plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Kelly spent his first two collegiate seasons at Miami before transferring to UCF ahead of this season.

Kelly played in all 12 of UCF’s games this season and made 11 starts. He finished the 2024 campaign with career-highs of 53 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and one pass deflection.

In his two seasons at Miami, Kelly made 16 appearances and three starts. However, he missed the back half of the 2023 campaign after suffering a season-ending injury.

Nyjalik Kelly played high school football at Dillard (FL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 93 overall recruit and No. 9 EDGE in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“To UCF and Knight Nation: Thank you for the memories, relationships, and opportunities you have given me over the past two years. Thank you, Coach Malzahn for the opportunity to play and lead at this team. Coach Hand thank you for all that you have done for me and the life lessons you have taught me. To my teammates and the staff, thank you for making this program feel like family.”

Marcellus Marshall originally committed to Kent State out of high school but transferred to UCF ahead of the 2023 campaign where he has stayed ever since. His decision comes after former head coach Gus Malzahn was named the next Florida State offensive coordinator.
