UCLA freshman quarterback Dante Moore took to Twitter to address rumors that he was unhappy with the Bruins and his current situation.

Moore, the No. 3 overall prospect in the Class of 2023, is in competition for the starting role as a true freshman. However, rumors circulated on social media regarding his NIL situation and the fact he could consider transferring.

For now, he put those to rest with a statement Monday morning on Twitter.

“To clear the Air these ‘Rumors’ are totally False,” Moore wrote on Twitter. “I’m blessed and thankful to be a Bruin. I Love being around this brotherhood! #GoBruins.”

In fact, Moore spoke with local reporters after practice over the weekend and was glad he enrolled early.

“First of all, my thoughts, I’m really glad I came here early,” Moore said. ‘Coming in probably in the summer or like before fall camp, I know it can really tough to come in … from high school and college is a way different speed. Areas, concepts and everything. So I’m glad I went to spring ball. Spring ball has helped me go through a lot of you know, concepts and feel more comfortable with everything and really just, you know, building that trust within the team.”

Moore revealed the staff was pleased about him going to school early and getting up to speed.

“Really when it comes to the staff, they keep saying the same thing like I’m glad that you came early,” Moore said. “(That you) got here, got the reps, got to see everything with the ones and twos and others … Everybody here is more grown than me. I’m really trying to learn how to be the best person I can be.”

As a member of the Class of 2023, Moore was a five-star recruit out of Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 1 overall prospect in the state, the No. 2 quarterback in the class and the No. 3 overall prospect in the class.
