Former Jacksonville State offensive tackle Kaiden Arnold will transfer to play for UCLA in 2025, he announced Tuesday via X. Arnold spent the past two seasons with the Gamecocks and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-7 lineman appeared in 10 games as a true freshman in 2023, mostly on special teams. He chose the Bruins over offers from several Power 4 programs including Nebraska, North Carolina and West Virginia among others.

As a recruit, Arnold was unranked in the 2023 cycle out of Escambia County High School in Atmore, Alabama. Now with a couple years of college experience under his belt, he ranks as the No. 1,480 overall player and No. 109 offensive tackle in On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Kaiden Arnold is the 20th overall player and the seventh offensive lineman that UCLA has brought in through the portal. The Bruins have also lost 22 players and rank No. 10 in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.

UCLA ranked 114th in the country with 2.8 sacks allowed per game last year so could use all the help it can get on the offensive line. It finished the year 5-7 but will hope for better results in 2025 with the many additions this offseason.

Arkansas transfer OL Ty’kieast Crawford commits to UCLA

Former Arkansas offensive lineman Ty’Kieast Crawford will transfer to play for UCLA in 2025. He spent the past four seasons with the Razorbacks and has one more year of eligibility remaining.

Crawford appeared in 33 total games with six starts during his time in Fayetteville. However, he only played one game this past season.

As a recruit, Crawford was a four-star prospect out of Carthage (TX) High School in 2020. He ranked as the No. 244 overall player and No. 26 offensive tackle in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Crawford originally committed to play for Charlotte out of high school but spent only one season with the 49ers. He played in six games and made two starts as a true freshman.
