Local 4-star safety Kamari Ramsey commits to UCLA

Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon four-star safety Kamari Ramsey has committed to UCLA.
Ramsey’s decision comes out two days after decommitting from Stanford.
Kamari Ramsey is the No. 193 overall prospect in the nation, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is the top player in the Bruins class and joins Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s four-star wide receiver Jadyn Marshall, Inglewood (Calif.) four-star quarterback Justyn Martin and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star tight end Jack Pedersen as the top-300 commits among the group.
With his commitment, UCLA now has the No. 22 class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
Ramsey originally committed to the Cardinal over the summer.
“I would like to express my gratitude toward Coach Shaw and Coach Akina for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play Division I football,” Ramsey said on Twitter after decommitting. “After much prayer and much consideration with my family, I have decided it is in my best interest to decommit from Stanford University.
