Oklahoma transfer DL Champ Sanders has committed to UCLA out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Sanders, a Los Angeles native who played at Cathedral in high school, made the announcement of his commitment to come home and play for the Bruins in a post on social media on Sunday.

Sanders, a redshirt freshman after two collegiate seasons, spent the last two years at Oklahoma. In that time, he appeared in 11 games for the Sooners.

In those outings, Sanders totaled a pair of tackles and half a sack for OU.

Per the latest in On3’s Top Transfer Portal Players, Sanders is the No. 113 DL and the No. 1,128 overall transfer.

Sanders is now the 11th pickup in the portal during this cycle over the month for UCLA. The Bruins have also added WR Jaedon Wilson (Arkansas), CB Aaron Williams (Louisville), DE Ka’eo Akana (Utah), IOL Eugene Brooks (Oklahoma), OTs Julian Armella (Florida State) and Courtland Ford (Kentucky), and three safeties in Benjamin Perry (Louisville), Bryon Threats (UCF), and Key Lawrence (Ole Miss). There’s also another defensive lineman coming in alongside him in Nico Davillier (Arkansas).

This comes after 19 players have left LA by transfer as well. Seven of those are from the defense, including one defensive lineman in Sitiveni Kaufusi. A pair of those have already since committed elsewhere in QB Justyn Martin (Maryland) and WR J.Michael Sturdivant (Florida).
