Tyger Campbell breaks down why UCLA avoids getting too high, too low

Point guard Tyger Campbell has helped lead UCLA to a low of highs over the past few season, and especially this year. The Bruins are 24-4 and 15-2 in the Pac-12 with a regular season title in their grasp if they can finish the job down the stretch.
But the fifth-year senior said he and his UCLA teammates try to stay even keeled through all the ebbs and flows of a college basketball season.
“But we try not to get too high or too low,” Campbell said ahead of Thursday’s 78-71 victory over Utah. “We’re just trying to stay composed and act like we haven’t won yet. Because we haven’t. Still four more games until hopefully we can win the conference.”
Campbell was great in the victory over the Utes. He scored 18 points on 6-for-12 shooting in addition to dishing five assists and swiping two steals while only turning the ball over one time.
While the Bruins are locks to make the NCAA Tournament and finish with a high seed, there has been some fodder about what seed line they will be on. But Campbell said the team doesn’t care about that.

“Not until Selection Sunday,” Campbell said of asked when he and his teammates will start thinking about their spot in March Madness. “I guess we’ll just wait until then to see where we are.”
Tyger Campbell, Jaime Jaquez trying to live in the moment
Tyger Campbell and Jaime Jaquez have been as key as anyone to the UCLA turnaround under Mick Cronin. As the two senior guards enter what could be their final weeks wearing Bruins uniforms, the two have started to reflect on their journeys while also trying to stay focused on the present.
“It’s bittersweet,” Jaquez said of his UCLA career wrapping up. “I’m very excited. I’m very eager to play. I want March to start already. But at the same time, I’m trying to take my sweet time with it. I’m gonna enjoy every moment. We got one last road trip coming up here. We’re gonna make most of it.”
