ATH Logan Christensen commits to UNLV
San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) J Serra Catholic athlete Logan Christensen has committed to UNLV. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound three-star athlete had 20 offers and he chose UNLV over San Jose State.
After taking official visits to both schools, he made the decision.
“I chose UNLV because I love the coaching staff and the plan they have for their team,” Christensen told On3. “The plan that they have for me in their program was big too. I like they’re brand new facilities and I feel like I have a strong possibility to compete to get on the field early and help the team.”
Barry Odom led the Rebels to a 9 win season in 2023, the most the program has had since 1984. The new commit is a believer in the UNLV head coach.
“I love everything about coach Odom. I think he has a fatherly figure in his program and treats every kid like his own. His goals and aspirations for the program are something huge and something I want to be apart of.”

Christensen has visited Las Vegas three times in total. He has visited twice under the new staff and he likes the feeling on the UNLV campus.
“The atmosphere there is great and the team has a ton of energy. I like how the coaches all have a good bond with the staff and the players.”
UNLV plans to play Christensen at safety.
