2026 No. 1 prospect, USC QB commit Julian Lewis breaks school passing TD record
Carrollton (Ga.) quarterback Julian ‘JuJu’ Lewis is only in his second season of high school football, but he’s already etched his name into his school’s record books.
The No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle and current USC commit went nuclear on Friday night, throwing for seven touchdowns, breaking a passing record that was held by current NC State QB MJ Morris. Lewis’ outing tied Morris for the most TDs in a game in program history.
In a blowout performance for Carrollton, Lewis threw for 435 yards on just 15 completions. The outing follows a spectacular regular season, where he threw for 34 TDs and just one interception.
Lewis pledged to the Trojans on Aug. 22 while also holding offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. USC head coach Lincoln Riley’s history of success at the QB position helped seal the deal for the Trojans.
“At the end of the day, it is about what Coach Riley does with quarterbacks,” Lewis told On3 upon his commitment. “Coach Riley develops quarterbacks, he really knows how to manage the room and he knows how to feature guys at that position. The track record he has with quarterbacks really made a big difference in my recruitment.”

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
Lewis is set to visit Georgia this weekend when the Bulldogs host Ole Miss. He visited USC last weekend, in what was his fifth trip with the Trojans. He’s also visited Alabama this fall.
He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $477K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Julian Lewis Scouting Summary
“Polished signal caller who turned in the most productive freshman season among 2026 quarterbacks. Has been touted as a high-profile prospect, earning offers as a middle schooler. Measured in at around 6-foot-0.5, 185 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his sophomore season. Turned in a strong freshman campaign, completing 65.5% of his passes for over 4,100 yards and 48 touchdowns against 12 interceptions while leading his team to a state title appearance. Played well while facing some of the strongest competition among 2026 quarterbacks. Has advanced accuracy and overall polish at this early stage. Very consistent on a throw to throw basis in the camp setting. Shows the ability to locate passes to several areas, including over the middle of the field.
…Shows nice touch and ability to layer the football. Navigates the pocket well, sliding up to elude pass rushers. Can make defenders miss in space. Has plenty of time to continue growing, but is not overly physically imposing at this stage. Flashes a good arm, but his upside as a pure, top arm talent remains to be seen. Can also continue improving as a creative playmaker as he gets more varsity experience. Figures to be among the top quarterbacks in 2026 as the cycle progresses.”
