Lincoln Riley
USC head coach Lincoln Riley has some important decisions to make after a 6-6 season.

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Boise State wide receiver Prince Strachan has signed with USC. Strachan just wrapped up his third season with the Broncos, winning a Mountain West title and participating in the College Football Playoff.

Now, he makes a jump to the Big Ten, choosing to play for the Trojans under head coach Lincoln Riley. A nice addition to the wide receiver room ahead of the 2025 season.

Strachan will have two years of eligibility remaining, taking a redshirt season as a true freshman back in 2022. Since then, he has found playing time for Boise State and been able to put up decent numbers. In 28 games with the Broncos, Strachan had 37 receptions for 578 yards and three touchdowns.

An impact was made in the Fiesta Bowl against Penn State, snagging four passes for 40 yards. Strachan was the third-leading receiver for Boise State on the day in what turned out to be a loss.

USC has seen some turnover at wide receiver this offseason. Four players have left the program via the NCAA transfer portal. Luckily, Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane are expected back next season but some help was certainly needed at the position.

Strachan not only adds depth but somebody who possesses a ton of potential. USC will be hoping to get the best out of him after a few years of development by Boise State.

Lincoln Riley, USC brings Colorado State wide receivers coach to staff

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, USC is set to hire Colorado State wide receiver coach Chad Savage for the 2025 season. Savage will have a slight title change, coaching tight ends and inside receivers for head coach Lincoln Riley.

A nice pickup for the Trojans, snagging one of the top Group of Five assistants out there.

“Sources: USC is expected to hire Colorado State WR coach Chad Savage as the school’s new TE Coach/Inside Receivers coach,” Thamel said via X. “He was the Mountain West’s top recruiter the last three years and played a big role in developing star WR Tory Horton.”

USC is now hoping the goods Savage has delivered to Colorado State can translate to a power conference level. His first year of experience at this level will come as a member of the Big Ten.
