Caleb Williams, mother to join Dr Pepper 'Fansville' TV ads as newest neighbors
The reigning Heisman trophy winner is heading to Hollywood to be apart of Dr Pepper’s “Fansville” ad campaign this season.
According to Pat Forde, Caleb Williams will appear on the Fansville television commercials with his nails painted by his mother — something he often did for USC games last fall.
“USC quarterback Caleb Williams and his nail jobs are joining Dr Pepper’s ‘Fansville’ this season,” Forde wrote for Sports Illustrated, adding the following details:
“Williams follows DJ Uiagalelei in ’21 and Bryce Young in ’22 to ‘Fansville,’ but brings his own trademark to the marketing campaign: his fingernails, as painted maroon and white by his mother, Dayna Price, a nail technician.”
Young, the reigning Heisman winner entering last season, was the featured player in the ads a year ago as part of an NIL deal, which On3’s Pete Nakos detailed last August.

More on Fansville
It’d be hard to sit on the couch and watch college football the last few years without stumbling across a handful of these Fansville ads. The commercials create a world of exclusively college football fans who never take off the foam finger or team jersey, if you will.

One ad shows parents harassing their kid over reading a soccer magazine; another parodies Shakespeare with a forebidden romance between a cheerleader and mascot from rival schools. In another episode, tailgating fans alert the town sheriff when a band of referees move in next door and start blowing whistles and hanging security cameras.
He’s a busy sheriff, too, who also had to track down the College Football Playoff trophy in one episode after it was stolen by Les Miles… who was vaulted off the top of a building after being struck by lightning while holding the trophy. That one ended with the former LSU coach in the back of a squad car.
Last season, Forbes noted that Bryce Young’s Fansville commercial included a reference to conference realignment when the Alabama QB replaced a 12 year old’s spot as the son of a random middle-age couple, who swore to their worried and real son that nothing was amiss.
If it wasn’t clear already, anything goes in this ad campaign, so there’s no telling what Dr Pepper has in store for Caleb Williams and his fingernails. Judging by the preview, more conference realignment talk is in store.
