Caleb Williams reveals his plans for USC's bye week
The first half of the season for the Trojans has to be considered a success. Sure, they lost their last game before the bye in a western shootout at Utah. But overall, USC is 6-1 and still right in contention for the Pac-12 title. Getting to the College Football Playoff won’t be an easy any longer and will certainly require an undefeated record down the stretch. But it’s achievable. USC has everything in front of them. So, the bye week is an opportunity to get off their feet and relax.
Caleb Williams more than anyone else. The transfer QB and the Trojan offense definitely looked the part through the first half of the season and scored like everybody expected under Lincoln Riley. But now, QB1 one is ready to take his mind of football and relax over the last off weekend for some time for USC football.
When asked at his press conference this week about how he was looking forward to spending the weekend, Williams gave a very college student sort of answer:
“I’m gonna rest. I’m gonna play a little video games and I think I’ll probably go to Universal Horror Nights, which would be fun with a couple of my teammates. Can’t wait.”

Sleep and Xbox. Not a bad combo to help you refresh for another five weeks playing college football. Williams also added that the team has all possibilities in front of them. Even with one loss, Williams knows the Trojans can still achieve everything they wanted to in the preseason.
“I said this after the game, with all the emotions running high … the only thing that we were wiping off the board is that we are not going to go undefeated,” Williams said. “That’s the only thing I can guarantee. We’re focused on, right now, this bye week. We haven’t been focused on the next team that we’re going to play. We’ve been focused on making sure we nail down all the consistent things that we need to be better at.”
Five more chances to go and prove themselves remain in the second half of the season. Caleb Williams isn’t ready to back down after one close loss.
