Drake London changes pre-draft schedule after injury

Former USC star receiver Drake London has made an adjustment to his pre-draft schedule after an injury he sustained working out. London requested his Pro Day workout to be moved to April 15th after suffering a “mild hamstring strain” while training over the weekend, giving him time to recover before one of the most important workouts of his career.
Drake London moves Pro Day ahead of NFL draft
“USC moved Drake London’s Pro Day to April 15th per the request of London and agent Andrew Kessler,” explained NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. “London had a mild hamstring strain while training this weekend and the new date allows him to be fully healthy for his workout. London is a potential first wide receiver off the draft board.”
London is in the mix with multiple receivers in this year’s draft class for the first receiver off the board. London is near the top with players like Ohio State‘s Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, Arkansas‘ Treylon Burks and Alabama‘s Jameson Williams.
Prior to his devastating injury that ended his season early, London was on pace to be a clear-cut top draft pick in his junior season. London only played eight games last season after suffering a fractured ankle. While his newest injury is only a mild strain and appears to be nothing major, concerns surround the young star about any lingering damage and his NFL-readiness.

London caught 88 passes for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns before his injury. His “best” season doesn’t stack up with other draft prospects because of the injury, but his talent was evident last year all the same.
Several NFL teams have need at the receiver position heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, including the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles made waves on Monday with a trade of draft picks with the New Orleans Saints, forcing all three teams to make tough decisions about which receivers they want and if they’re worth drafting high for.
