WATCH: Drake London completes a 540 dunk at Battle of the Valley Dunk Contest
Former USC wide receiver Drake London could very well go down as one of the greatest athletes to ever suit up for the Trojans and that’s saying something. While he’s bound for NFL riches very soon in the 2022 NFL Draft, it’s time to pause and appreciate the athletic greatness that London brought to the table. Coming out of Moorpark High School (Moorpark, California) he was a remarkably rare two sport superstar. In the 2019 recruiting class, was a four-star prospect in both basketball and football, something very few athletes can claim in the modern recruiting era.
After the Battle of the Valley All-Star Game held at Sierra Canyon on March 23, 2019, London decided to show just how ridiculous of an athlete he truly was in the Battle of the Valley Dunk Contest. He threw down one of the most impressive dunks of all-time, a 540.
Check it out below.
London flushed home a full rotation and a half on the dunk and he didn’t even have to run very hard to complete it. It’s hard to even fathom a dunk like that being possible. Surprisingly, the former Moorpark two-sport star didn’t win the dunk contest, that honor went to UCLA star Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Drake London put up pretty incredible high school stats
London was an exceptional basketball player coming out of Moorpark High School (Moorpark, California). As a senior, he averaged 29.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. It’s not unusual for FBS athletes to be talented in more than one sport, but London was truly elite at two different sports, which is a rare find. As a senior receiver for Moorpark High School, he hauled in 62 catches for 1,089 receiving yards, and 12 touchdown catches.
Before suffering a season-ending ankle injury this season with the USC Trojans, he hauled in 88 catches for 1,084 receiving yards and seven touchdowns catches. He’s expected to be one of the top receivers selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
