Kamari Ramsey, a safety that just finished a pair of seasons at UCLA, isn’t going too far to find his next home out of the transfer portal.

Ramsey committed to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans from the portal today, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. D’Anton Lynn, the former defensive coordinator for the Bruins, will get the chance to coach Ramsey again with him following his former coach down the road from the Rose Bowl down to Memorial Coliseum.

Over his two years at UCLA, Ramsey appeared in 15 games. That included being a full-time starter in his 11 games this past season.

In that time, he accumulated 45 tackles, four pass deflections, and the interception. Essentially all of that came in his action in 2023 with 40 tackles as well as all of the deflections and the lone pick coming this fall.

Ramsey played high school football at Sierra Canyon (CA) where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 195 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as a Top-20 safety in the class and the No. 12 player out of California.
