4-star 2023 defensive lineman Tevita Pome'e offered by USC

Layton (Utah) Christian Academy defensive lineman Tevita Pome’e has received an offer from USC, he announced Thursday night.

Pome’e is the No. 348 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 34 defensive lineman and the No. 3 junior prospect in Utah.

“Had a good chat with Coach Nua today, and am grateful to announce my 7th D1 offer, coming from USC Football!” Pome’e wrote on Twitter. “I am humbled by every single opportunity.”

The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder has seen his recruitment steadily grow over the past month, earning offers from Nevada, Jackson State, Utah State, San Jose State and now USC. That’s in addition to previous offers from Oregon State and Vanderbilt.

Pome’e recently took an unofficial visit to Oregon, which has yet to extend him an offer. As a junior this fall, Tevita Pome’e totaled 53 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 7 tackles for loss, as well as a fumble recovery.
