Georgetown's Drew Fielder commits to transfer to USC

Drew Fielder came from the west coast to the east coast to start off his career in college basketball. Now, he’s headed back to Hollywood with his decision in the portal on Monday.
Fielder has committed to the USC Trojans out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. That comes per On3’s Joe Tipton this morning.
Fielder spent the past two seasons playing for Georgetown in making 63 appearances with the Hoyas. He has averaged 6.1 points (47.2% FG) and 4.2 rebounds per game in that career there. That includes stats of 7.1 points (46.3% FG) and 5.4 rebounds this past season as a sophomore as he was their starting center.
Fielder played his high school basketball at Southern California Academy in Los Angeles. He was the No. 112 recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2023 cycle. He also rated as the No. 20 PF and the No. 17 player out of the state of California. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. That made him the highest-rated signee for the Hoyas out of two in that class.
Now, per the latest update to On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Fielder is at No. 125 overall. He also rates as the No. 15 C in the portal.

Fielder is one of three departures during this portal cycle for Georgetown. Drew McKenna and Jordan Burks also entered their names in last week for the Hoyas after Fielder had his in at the opening.
USC, though, had a very busy weekend as far as transfers go. The Trojans have added four players in just the last three days now with Fielder after earning commitments from Jacob Cofie (Virginia), Amarion Dickerson (Robert Morris), and Keonte Jones (Cal State Northridge) all on Saturday.
