Jordan Addison reveals what 2022 season has taught him
Jordan Addison’s journey to USC was a highly publicized one. The reigning Biletnikoff Award winner entered the transfer portal after a big year for Pitt just before the deadline, and rumors about NIL deals swirled as a result.
But it’s working out for Addison, who’s emerging as fellow transfer Caleb Williams’ top target for the Trojans. He has a team-high 479 yards and six touchdowns to help USC to a 6-0 record to start the 2022 season, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
This season has also taught Addison a few things about himself. He discussed that during a session with reporters this week, saying he learned how to manage adversity effectively.

“The adversity that I can go through, and not budge, not fold,” Addison said. “I feel like I can go through whatever and come out on top.”
After entering the portal, Addison became the No. 2-ranked player to transfer, according to the 2021 On3 Transfer Portal Rankings — one spot behind Williams at No. 1. It was part of a highly touted transfer class for first-year coach Lincoln Riley and Co. as they attempted to rebuild the roster from scratch.

As part of its fast start to the season, USC got a notable win over Oregon State and, most recently, knocked off Washington State last week. But a big test awaits on Saturday when the Trojans take on Utah on the road at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
Jordan Addison says he ‘won’t discuss injuries’
No. 7 USC is back in action this weekend for what could be its toughest conference game to date, a road trip to No. 20 Utah. Importantly, the health of star receiver Jordan Addison remains a bit of a mystery.
Addison left last week’s win over Washington State early in the third quarter, heading to the team’s medical tent. He later returned to the game, but he dodged questions about what his issue was this week.
“I won’t discuss injuries,” Addison told reporters.
