Jordan Addison says Caleb Williams is the Heisman winner if USC wins Pac-12

With the regular season wrapped up, everyone’s thoughts are now focused on the postseason. That means championship games are set to be played, bowls and playoff fields are about to be selected, and the sport’s biggest awards are soon to be named. The biggest of those awards is naturally the Heisman Trophy and, based on the way his quarterback has played this season, USC WR Jordan Addison cast his vote for Caleb Williams to take it home in 2022.
Addison made the case for Williams following the Trojan’s 38-27 win over Notre Dame. Considering his statistics and USC’s record, Addison believes his QB1 is but a Pac-12 title away from hoisting the Heisman in New York on December 10th.

“He’s the one. He’s the one. That’s all I’m gonna say. I had to crown him myself,” said Addison. “He’s gonna be down in New York. We go do what we gotta do this Friday? It’s gonna be his.”
USC now sits at 11-1 on the season. Although they aren’t undefeated, they’ll have an opportunity to avenge that sole loss Friday in Las Vegas against Utah.

That record certainly doesn’t hurt Williams’ resume that already has some eye-popping numbers. In his first year as a full-time starter, Williams has thrown for 3,712 yards, 34 touchdowns, and an 86.8 QBR with only three interceptions. All those stats are within the Top-10 in the nation. He’s also one of the country’s more efficient quarterbacks with a 65.8% completion rate.
The Heisman race has shifted several times throughout the season with no clear-cut favorite emerging. However, Williams has made the biggest statement late and, if he caps it off with a conference crown to end the season that puts his team in the playoff, he’ll likely head to New York in the lead for a spot in the Heisman House.
