Juju Watkins gifts fan game-worn shoes, helps finish her 2025 goals after beating cancer

USC defeated Washington 69-64 on the road on Sunday night. Before leaving Seattle, Juju Watkins helped a fan finish off her goals for 2025 a little bit early.
Kendra, a Trojans fan, sported a hoodie with her goals for the year. She had two: Beat cancer (check) and meet Juju. It’s safe to say she’s dominating her goals in 2025.
The kind gesture went a step further, and even saw Watkins give Kendra her game-worn shoes from Sunday’s victory, which was caught on video and posted to USC Women’s Basketball social media.
Watkins scored 17 points while logging eight rebounds and six assists during the winning effort. Her scoring total was bested by teammate Kiki Iriafen, who logged 19 points during the effort.
This performance came she logged 38 points, haul in 11 rebounds and record a career-high eight blocks against previously undefeated No. 1 UCLA. The Trojans ultimately took the 71-60 victory after a fourth-quarter flurry.
Much like the game against UCLA, the Trojans had to fight hard to close out the game on the winning end of things. In fact, the Trojans trailed Washington entering the fourth quarter 43-39 and managed to outscore the Huskies 30-21 during the final period to pull out the win.

The win over the Bruins marked the first time the Trojans had defeated a No. 1 overall team since they emerged victorious against Louisiana Tech in the 1983 National Championship game.
As big of a game as Thursday’s matchup was — these two programs are still scheduled to meet one more time before the end of the regular season. They’ll make the trip to Pauley Pavilion on March 1 in the regular season finale, where more stars will likely make the trip.
However, they can’t look past the opponents they have in front of them. Washington almost got the better of them over the weekend, and with two games left on the Trojans’ regular season schedule before the March 1 rematch against the Bruins, they have to focus on the task at hand first as they play ranked opponents until the Big Ten Conference Tournament.
Next up for USC is a homestand against No. 22 Michigan State on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET and will air live on Peacock. They’ll host No. 25 Illinois on Sunday before turning their full attention back toward UCLA before the postseason tournaments begin.
