LenDale White calls on USC to make quarterback change

USC suffered a third straight loss on Saturday evening, falling to Maryland 29-28. The loss has sparked quite a bit of outrage in the Trojans community, too.
Former USC great Matt Leinart sounded off on Twitter, and former running back LenDale White joined him shortly after.
And White has a particular approach. He wants USC to make a change at quarterback, where Miller Moss has been a little up and down in recent weeks.
“Might be time for u to play lil bro,” White said, quote-tweeting a picture of USC backup quarterback Jayden Maiava hanging out with family after the game.
Maiava transferred to USC in the spring from UNLV, bringing with him a considerable bit of experience at the quarterback position. In 2023, as a redshirt freshman, Maiava helped UNLV to its most wins since 1984.

He went 224-of-353 passing (63.5%) for 3,085 yards, with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also ran for 277 yards and three scores.
Maiava might just be able to give USC a spark at the position, particularly given his dual-threat capability. Moss hasn’t been much of a threat as a runner this season.
The starting quarterback for the Trojans has gone 183-of-284 passing (64.4%) for 1,954 yards, with 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.
USC fell to 3-4 on the season with the loss to Maryland, the team’s third consecutive defeat.
